General Rules

  • One H1 per page (used in the banner or top of the content).
  • H2–H6 create a clear content hierarchy and should not be used purely for styling.
  • Avoid using headings for simple emphasis; use paragraph text with bold/italics instead. (See Text & Paragraph)

Heading Styles

  • H1 – Page title or primary campaign title. Purple only.
  • H2 – Major sections on a page.
  • H3 – Subsections within an H2.
  • H4–H6 – Finer sub-levels as needed; use sparingly to keep pages scannable. Styling can be used in some card designs. (See below)

Banner | Interior Menu | H1 | Text

When to Use:

  • Main Menu and Interior Menu pages (e.g., About CHCA, Our Story, Campuses, Leadership).

Layout Components: 

  1. Banner Image

    1. High-quality photo that shows real CHCA life (students, teachers, campus).

  2. Seal/Logo

    • Use the most relevant logo/icon. See brand guidelines. 

  3. Interior Menu

    • Horizontal menu below the banner (About CHCA | Our Story | Why CHCA | …).

  4. H1

    • Short, strong statement (e.g., “Learn. Lead. Serve.”). Should be relevant to the page. Users should easily recognize they are on the right page. 

  5. Supporting Text

    • 1–2 sentences describing the page and tying back to mission.
