Getting It Right Workshop Series | Thursdays – March 5, March 12, March 19 @ 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, March 5: Your North Star and the Four Stages of Parenting
Our first session will redefine what “getting it right” actually means. Week one will set the foundation for the entire workshop, inviting parents to look beyond the challenges of today and toward the relationships they hope to build for a lifetime. We will also discuss the four stages of parenting–discipline, training, coaching, and friendship- and why understanding the unique characteristics of each stage is essential. By embracing the right role at the right time, parents can avoid unnecessary conflict, cultivate trust, and guide their children with clarity, confidence, and connection.
Thursday, March 12: The Role of Words and Marriage Matters
In this session, parents will explore the formative power their words have on their children’s hearts and futures. We will learn about and discuss three dynamics that influence what our children hear when we speak. The tone we set with our words often becomes the tone our children carry into life.  We will also emphasize the reality that a healthy marriage is one of the greatest gifts parents can give their children. Rather than viewing marriage and parenting as competing priorities, parents will see how their relationships form the emotional backdrop of the home.
Thursday, March 19: Establishing Rules and Consequences and Developing a Faith of Their Own
This final session will help parents understand how clear expectations and appropriate consequences create a sense of structure and security for their children. We will also focus on the big idea of disciplining with the relationship in mind and not simply for compliance or behavior modification and learn how to nurture a faith in our children that grows beyond rules, routines, or borrowed beliefs. When our kids see the ways that faith makes a practical difference in our lives, odds are it will make a difference in theirs, too.
