
CHCA’s Boys Cross Country team made history on Saturday, October 25, snagging the team’s first-ever OHSAA Troy Regional team title and extending its impressive winning streak to four consecutive victories.
The championship performance was highlighted by a record-setting run from Nate Gockerman, who won his second consecutive individual regional title. He crossed the line in 15:16 to set a new regional course record.
Demonstrating exceptional depth, the team placed three runners in the top five. Jagger Dollemeyer (3rd place) and Wyatt Gockerman (5th place) earned All-Region honors for finishing within the top 20 competitors.
Rounding out the scoring and securing the historic victory for the Eagles were Aidan Murphy (23rd place) and Andrew Lott (43rd place). The team now advances to the OHSAA State Championships.

Joining the Boys team at State is standout Girls Cross Country star Addison Connor, whose 24th-place finish secured the team’s 9th-place finish and earned her a ticket to the biggest competition of the season. On Connor’s heels was Hailey Myers (28th place), followed by Abiageal Grogan, Jillian Wolfe, and Maria Bernal-Viana.
Connor is the first Girls Cross Country runner since 2021 to qualify for State.

The OHSAA State Championships will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Fortress Obetz/Memorial Park in Obetz, OH. Girls will run at 11:50 a.m., and boys will run at 12:30 p.m.
