As parents, educators, and mentors, we all want the same thing for our children—to grow into healthy, confident, resilient individuals who are prepared to learn, lead, and serve. While academics, faith, and character development are essential pieces of that journey, one area that deserves equal attention is our physical and mental well-being.
At SPENGA, we believe that wellness extends far beyond the walls of our studio. That’s why we are proud to sponsor Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in several ways throughout the year. Supporting CHCA allows us to give back to a community dedicated to raising children who are rooted in Christ, equipped with strong character, and prepared to make a positive impact in the world. We are honored to partner with a school whose values closely align with our own belief that healthy minds, healthy bodies, and meaningful relationships create stronger communities.
Mental health and physical health are deeply connected. Exercise is one of the most powerful tools we have to support both.
Regular physical activity has been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, increase focus, promote better sleep, and build resilience. Whether it’s walking with a friend, strength training, cycling, practicing yoga, or participating in a SPENGA workout, movement provides an opportunity to reset both the mind and body. In today’s fast-paced world—filled with demanding schedules, constant notifications, and increasing pressures—making time to move isn’t a luxury; it’s an investment in our overall wellness.
Just as important as exercise is the community that surrounds us.
At SPENGA, we see every day how a supportive fitness community transforms lives. People who share common goals encourage one another, celebrate victories together, and provide accountability during life’s challenges. The same is true within the CHCA family. When we surround ourselves with people who inspire us to become healthier—physically, mentally, and spiritually—we all grow stronger together.
As adults, we also have a responsibility to remember that our children are always watching.
They notice how we respond to stress. They see whether we prioritize our own health or continually place it at the bottom of our list. They observe whether we make time for movement, speak kindly to ourselves, and ask for support when we need it.
We often encourage our children to develop healthy habits, but the greatest lessons are taught through our example. When they see us taking care of our physical and mental well-being, they learn that health is not about perfection—it’s about consistency, balance, and stewardship.
Practicing what we preach sends a powerful message. It tells our children that caring for ourselves allows us to better care for others.
This beautifully reflects the mission of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy to learn, lead, and serve.
We learn by continually growing in wisdom—not only academically, but also by understanding how God designed our bodies and minds to work together. We lead by modeling healthy choices, demonstrating resilience, and showing our children what it looks like to live with purpose, balance, and faith. We serve from a place of strength. When we invest in our own wellness, we have greater energy, patience, compassion, and capacity to care for our families, our schools, our churches, and our communities.
Wellness isn’t about achieving perfection or following the latest fitness trend. It’s about faithfully caring for the gifts God has entrusted to us—our minds, our bodies, and our relationships.
At SPENGA, our mission is to help people become stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally through movement and community. We are grateful to support Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy and invest in a school that is shaping the next generation of Christ-centered leaders. Together, we can build a healthier community by living out the values we teach every day.
Because the habits we practice today become the legacy our children carry into tomorrow.
