Scholarships

CHCA offers a variety of scholarships to commend students and help families afford a lifechanging Christian education.

CHCA Scholarships

Our competitive, non-need-based scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in all things.

Eagle Scholarship

Upper School, Grades 9–12

The Eagle Scholarship is CHCA’s most distinguished award, reserved for students who exemplify our school’s highest ideals. Eagle scholars rise above, demonstrating intellectual achievement, strong leadership, creative thinking, effective communication, resilience, collaboration, and a heart for the Lord. All new students entering Grades 9–12 and all current Grade 8 students re-enrolling for the freshman class are considered for this renewable scholarship; no application is required. Awards are granted based on available funds and on a holistic assessment of a student’s character, academic performance, and community engagement, among other factors, by the Eagle Scholarship Committee

Cum Laude Scholarship

Upper School, Grades 7–12

The Cum Laude Scholarship celebrates academic excellence and is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional intellectual achievement. Available to both new applicants (Grades 7–12) and current CHCA students (Grades 7–9), this prestigious, renewable scholarship requires strong classroom performance, a qualifying ISEE score, and an early decision enrollment commitment. Applicants must complete the full admission and scholarship application processes by their family interview date, and currently enrolled students must be current on tuition and complete ISEE testing on a designated date. Awards are granted as qualifying scores are received, based on available funds, and based on selection by the Cum Laude Scholarship Committee.

Learn, Lead, Serve Scholarship

Upper School, Grades 7–12

The Learn, Lead, Serve Scholarship commends students who embody CHCA’s motto and the three core pillars of our vision. Available to both new applicants (Grades 7–12) and current CHCA students (Grades 7–8), this scholarship awards students who recognize the significance of pursuing excellence in academics, leadership, and service as they continue to be molded and shaped by the gospel. Applicants must complete the full admission and scholarship application processes by their family interview date, and currently enrolled students must be current on tuition. The scholarship is renewable; however, current Grade 8 scholarship recipients will be required to re-apply for Grades 9–12. Awards are granted based on available funds and on selection by the Learn, Lead, Serve Scholarship Committee.

Need-Based Scholarships

Because of the generosity of CHCA’s most ardent supporters, our need-based scholarships help families with a demonstrated financial need make a CHCA education possible. Students granted need-based scholarships exemplify CHCA’s mission and vision while illustrating a heart to learn and grow. All students who apply for tuition assistance will be considered for a need-based scholarship; no application is required.

FAQs

What is the timeline for tuition assistance?

Need-based tuition assistance funds are awarded to returning and newly accepted students on a first-come, first-served basis. Note: FAST and OCEN SGO require your prior year tax return (i.e. 2023 tax documents for the 2025-2026 school year).

  • Returning families should complete the FAST application by February 15 for the upcoming school year. Newly enrolled families should submit their applications no later than April 1. FAST applications (for new or returning families) after this deadline will be considered if funds are available.

  • The Ohio EdChoice Scholarship application opens February 1. We encourage you to apply early for the most favorable consideration.
  • OCEN SGO applications open for the 2025-26 school year on December 1.

North Campuses
New or returning kindergarten–Grade 12 students who show a demonstrated financial need as determined by FAST and/or OCEN SGO. Tuition assistance is not currently available for our North Campus Early Learning Program (ages 2–4) students.

Armleder Campus
New or returning Pre-K 3/4–Grade 6 students who show a demonstrated financial need as determined by FAST.

Yes, although the family must apply each year to receive continuing awards. Assuming no significant changes in financial circumstances, a family can expect that the amount of tuition assistance will remain consistent for the time the student is enrolled at CHCA.

Because the calculations of a family’s financial need are very individualized assessments based on a variety of factors (income, number of children applying to CHCA, assets, business gains/losses, etc.), we encourage all families for whom affordability is a concern to complete the applications. This is really the only reliable way to determine financial need.

Yes, CHCA accepts the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship at our Armleder Campus and for Grades 7–12 at our Founders’ and MSL Campuses. In addition, students in Grades 7–12 may be considered for merit scholarships.

Yes, tuition assistance may be combined with EdChoice scholarships. Please discuss your specific situation with your Admissions counselor.

The confidentiality of your financial information is maintained at all times, and only select Administrative Office staff members responsible for tuition assistance awards have access to the FAST reports.
