For 28 years we have celebrated the God-given gifts of our students in the visual and performing arts. ArtBeat is a day-long, all-school celebration of the Arts. It’s a fun-filled family event featuring student performances, student artwork, artist demonstrations, hands-on-art stations, and great food!
Audition Information
Step 1. Read all of the Audition Information
Note: Families (either parent or student Gr 7-12) are required to volunteer for one 90-minute shift if their student auditions.
Step 2. Fill out an Audition Request Form:
Audition Time Limits:
ArtBeat auditions are open to all students! Please note:
- PK–Grade 4: Max performance time – 2 minutes
- Grades 5–8: Max time – 2 minutes 20 seconds
- Grades 9–12: Max time – 3 minutes
Performances that exceed these limits will not be selected. Students may be asked to shorten their pieces even if within limits.
- Required: Read the Audition Information Sheet and complete an online Audition Request for each act by your group’s deadline.
EBL Festival Choirs (K–3)
- All students in Grades K–3 participate in ArtBeat as part of the Lower School choir—no registration required! Music is learned during class. Choir dress rehearsal is scheduled for 04/07/26, time TBD.

Conflict Submissions:
- Email any rehearsal or performance conflicts to Mona.Summers@chca-oh.org by 02/27/26.
Submit Your Music:
- Email .mp3 performance tracks (no lead vocals) to artbeat@chca-oh.org
- Use file format: lastname.firstname.mp3
- Sheet music (if using a CHCA accompanist) must be emailed to anna.brink@chca-oh.org or dropped off at the MSL front desk (labeled clearly with student name)
Mandatory Rehearsals
Rehearsals are required. Students must wear their performance attire.
- 04/07/26: Choir Dress Rehearsals (EBL, FC Grade 4, Armleder) – Lindner Theater
- 04/08–09/26, 3:30–8:30 p.m.: Dress Rehearsals – Lindner Theater & ArtBeat Avenue Theater
- 04/10/26: Event Set Up, 8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- 04/11/26: ArtBeat Festival, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
